Dropped my Speedmaster - Where to fix it??
Discussion
Dropped it this morning, grrrr
Now the Chrono won't stop or reset both button feel disconnected.
Otherwise seems fine.
Omega Boutique in Regent Street just quoted £470 to service and they will repair. Which considering it's not been serviced for years and it will come back with a 2 year guarantee I can sort of live with but there are so many other timings I'd rather spend £470 on.
Ideas? Suggestions?

Ask myself or Variomatic if we'll do it?
^^^Eddie serviced my Seamaster a couple of years ago (Hi Eddie
) plus he did a little renovation work on the strap - and it came back looking beautiful, and running fabulously. And a PH'er to boot, what more could you ask for? I recommend!
Thanks chaps,
Bit nervous about posting it as you're both more than a pop-in, is there a best carrier?
Also I have this other pocket watch that's a bit of a heirloom. Still runs and "sort of" keeps time just won't run for long without a wind.
It's a very old Omega Ladies Pocket Watch?? It has no marking on the face but was made before Omega put names on faces? Omega and serial are on the inside of the rear case.
Is it worth restoring or is it just old tat? Not seen a small one like this before? Serial # is a 176 which suggests it's 1895-1897??
Worth sending both?

To be honest, I trust Royal Mail special delivery far more than I'd trust any other carrier. I use it at least weekly, often 2 or 3 times a week, and the only problem I've ever had was one package a few weeks back turning up at 13:05 rather than "before 1pm"
That Omega looks like a nice piece - the case and dial look excellent in that photo! It's unlikely to have huge value (ladies fobs generally don't) but I'm guessing that your interest is more for interest sake than as a srict investment?
If it's running more than a few seconds at a time then it's likely to just need straightforward servicing. Obviously it's not really possible to give accurate quotes without seeing it but it shouldn't be too eye watering
