Front Caliper Pad Spring

Having recently replaced my front pads and discs I noticed a rattling noise, on closer inspection the spring that stops the pads rattling has come off, does anybody know the part number for it, I has in mind that the callipers were xr4i but maybe that was the discs.

If somebody can tell me what the callipers are off or even better the spring part number it would be much appreciated.

The car is a 98 450.

I think the front calipers are FWD escort but the link says sierra or escort depending on engine size. Maybe best to whip the caliper off and take it to your local motorfactors .

Thanks fatboychim, I'm not sure the callipers are escort or sierra cosworth, the pad numbers are different on the EBC site which I was using to try and cross check.

Anybody else got any idea what car the front callipers are off.

The smallest of parts can be a right pain to find for a TVR, dealer will no doubt have them but will be selling me them at a mark up on what they would be from Ford or a normal motor factor.

im sure i kept my old springs from my old calipers and the allen key bolts

Madmax2, are the springs something you would part with?

Will give the local dealer a call tomorrow, see if they have any on the shelf.

Annoying thing is they are bound to be off a ford Granada or something like that, I just don't want to take the chance on ordering the wrong ones.
