C Coupe AMG incoming next week, Pictures now added
Discussion
Hi all,
First time to post in this section. Well I've just gone and done it, think I've made my first decadent car decision.
Have a c coupe amg coming next week: Black on black, it's going to be my daily driver/ work car. ( pls don't tell greenpeace)
Always wanted one, might be a bit late to the party as hear new shape is coming out, but this might turn into a keeper as love the muscle car/ old school style.
Not sure if it's going to be a good work car, but its surely going to make work trips fun!
Love to hear others input and once I've got my black beauty will post up some pictures!
Anything I need to know?

- Price. Sub £500 a month on contract hire
- Noise, giggle & hooligan factor
- Not had a hot Merc. Had an Audi or 2 in the past.
Congrats!!
I've had mine for 16 months and 14000 miles, loved every bit!
Things to look out for and some key points:
1. Rear brake squeal - if it happens it's a warranty job and the pads will be replaced FOC
2. Rattling dash parts - expect them and try to ignore unless they are bad
3. Will drink oil for the first 5k miles, so check every 2-4 weeks depending on mileage etc
4. When in no rush on motorways cruise will get a total 27mpg on long journeys but it is boring
5. Refuel when the light comes on or when it hits 1/4 left, the tank is small
6. Goto PocketGPS and subscribe to speed camera updates and use with an SD card in the COMAND
7. COMAND updates take 4 hours+ so ensure your car is booked in for a day when you get it done
8. If you hold the key to the door and keep unlock pressed down it will open windows and sunroof
9. Probably should be no.1 ALWAYS keep the door opening when starting ignition cold...
10. Exhaust cracks happen when doing 100% throttle and changing at 6800rpm+ do often
11. Find as many tunnels, enclosed walled spaces and rev... a lot
12. Get a fuel loyalty card or use Tesco Momentum combined with clubcard points and discount
13. Always use SUL, the engine will 'knock' on 95
14. Race start is good for showing friends but clunky to use and needs some practise
Have play with gear modes, but my favourite is alway Manual + Sport Handling Mode (one click of the traction control button). Allows maximum control of gears and a nice bit of slip while still saving you.
Consider a good remap 520bhp from stock 451bhp is easily achieved for <£1k.
Think that's all I can remember. Unfortunately my car is on a lease so I countdown the days when it will be leaving me... the C63 is sensational, and always a special occasion each time I get in it and turn the ignition.
Have fun!

some questions: is the command upgrade something that new cars will have as standard? Update you can do at home?
What do you mean by point 9?

New cars should have the latest software, upgrade has to be done at dealers.some questions: is the command upgrade something that new cars will have as standard? Update you can do at home?

Point 9 - stand outside when starting the car from cold, for the noise!

Looks like I've missed out, Freedom contracts told me yesterday that they don't have any stock (I'm after a 5 door), so that's that. Love Moffat's post, feeling very envious right now and not quite which way to turn, the 24 month deal at £500 pm suited me just fine. Enjoy your car Obi.black with black and privacy. 19" AMGs. I've sent you an e-mail about this stock. I've spoken to two different dealers today and both have told me there is no stock and no build slots available for C63 Wagons so if you are definitely getting hold of some I'd be very interested to hear from you.If anybody wants one on Contract hire speak to me as I run a brokerage and will have some stock coming on the next week or so directly from MB. As I understood it all the cars are built already and sitting pre-registered with various dealers and have to stay put until 3 months after the registration date.
But I might be hugely wide of the mark. I wanted mine sooner than August but have had to wait as it's serving its 3 month sentence

Congratulations on the C63 for when you get it, I use mine as my daily for the past 2 years and it's the best car I've ever owned.
So much so I'm buying it at the end of it's lease.
Yup picked it on Saturday and love the car. Love the engine, sound and style. So much so I'm buying it at the end of it's lease.
I also thinking' of buying at the end if the agreement.
Can I ask about the price? Are they open on negotiations ?

It's a fixed price set and agreed at the beginning when you take the lease out. Think it should be about the £30k mark after 3 years.I also thinking' of buying at the end if the agreement.
