Hi Watch forum people, I never though it would happen, but I'm venturing into your section.

I see your threads, all about the fancy collectables and high end stuff; I'm not interested in any of that, although I respect the passion for the beautiful objects.

I have had a $200 Armani watch which I'm sure was overpriced tat, but I liked it. It looked smart, it told the time, and most importantly to me it wasn't round. I don't care for big chunky watches that dig into the back of my hand when I bend it back (like doing a press up kind of position), so either a very small watch (looks like a girls or kids watch, so no good) or something like this (which I actually quite like...)

Your suggestions and recommendations gratefully received.

How much would you like to spend? Are we talking JLC reverso money?

If you've seen a watch that YOU "actually quite like" then I'd suggest you get that one.

Citizen do some nice tonneau watches:

This is an imported chronograph:

Or this is more dressy:

Both eco-drive, so the convenience of quartz but no need for battery changes.

As above - depends on budget!

JLC or Cartier do what you want best..

Reverso or Tank Francaise Auto would be my suggestions.

Thanks for the links, some great stuff. I particularly am taken with the JLC however the budget question is perhaps something I should have mentioned........about £250...

A Seiko, very traditional with Roman numerals and 40% off:

Or this which at first glance looks like a chrono, but the subdials are day-date and 24-hour:

Bracelet, rather than leather; which do you prefer?

Thanks; Leather, my hairy limbs make a bracelet a bad option.
