A warning light has come on in my Yaris and the manual says I need to take it to a dealership. Don't want to pay dealership prices on my ancient car.
Can anyone recommend a good independent where it can be plugged in to see what's wrong with it.
Thank you.

Any garage with an OBD reader should be able to diagnose the issue.

This might help http://www.yarisclubuk.com/forum/index.php?/topic/...

I have a generic reader which I'll be happy to plug in for you, I'm in poole, free most evenings after 8pm.

Thank you for the offer martinrpeachey. A mate a work is bringing me his tomorrow for me to use.

Thanks again. I cannot get over the generosity of the members on PH.

No problem at all.

If the light fades on and off at times, my money's on it being the coolant temp sensor - that's what my Starlet did. £57 from Westover Toyota, all fixed.

Stays on all the time. Car drives normally, not noticed a change in performance. So will wait and see. Hopefully not an expensive fix.
