H4 or H7 bulbs?
Discussion
Both offside front lights are out, dipped/main and side, on my Tam. I'm assuming it is just the bulb(s) rather than an electrical issue.
What size do I need? H4 or H7? Until I get around to properly investigating and installing an upgrade, does anyone recommend a particular high output bulb?
TIA.

Thanks. Main beam is working now so not sure what is up. Upgrade on the cards but I still need to check them out. Still concerned about the legality and MOT. Not sure why really, as the lack of cats isn't exactly pukka!Buzz

Don't worry about HID's I have had them for 5 years/5 MOT's now at two different MOT stations whilst the car has been in for service and never had a problem, even post changes to the regs. Poison pussies don't present too much of an issue either so long as you have a working pair.Edited by shep1001 on Sunday 22 June 21:59
Took me freakin' AGES to change one bulb! Went through checking all the fuses first, ten went to it. The bloody spanner monkies that had changed the bulb previously covered EVERTHING in sealant so I couldn't find the screws, resulting in me pulling two out. So hunt for replacement screws.
Took an age also to remove the excess sealant.
Changing the bulbs was about 2 bloody minutes.
Then putting it all back neatly ready for next time.... Next time will be quicker. But I will do the HID conversion this winter.

Why not bond some nuts to the back of the screw holes in the clamshell to create captive nuts so you can bolt the covers in place save stripping the self tappers?.Took an age also to remove the excess sealant.

It did cross my mind today. Being naive though, I need to check out what to bond with. I'll be knocking on the door of my neighbour who is a laminater for Sunseeker - at least while they are still in business. T40ORA said:

I used some industrial 'double bubble' Araldite stuff. Works just fine, mine have not fallen off yet....Gassing Station | Tamora, T350 & Sagaris | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
