Which do you choose assuming that they are mutually exclusive?

Watching England is nothing more than a good excuse to go to the boozer.

Can't believe these answers. Ok, so England are not playing well, but if they were then, surely, any true Englishman would rather see his country of birth win the WC than a club he chose to support win the league.

Country > club.

I support England, Spurs and my local team are recently relegated to the conference Bristol Rovers, so I've just accepted that neither of those things are ever likely to happen! Nobody can excuse me of being a glory hunter biggrin

World Cup, as a QPR fan I've seen many highs in recent seasons (several lows too), but I was born in 1985 so I've never ever seen England lift the World Cup.

That said I wouldn't have wanted us to win with the current set up, but next time with some of the older lot retired from international games and some fast youngsters in their place.

Might have been a bigger decision to make prior to S. Africa 4 yrs ago but after that I more or less lost any real interest in England. I would like to see England do well but wasn't that bothered when we lost to Uruguay. Certainly didn't lose any sleep over it.

I've been to World Cups in the past following England but recently turned down a free ticket to see them at Wembley, a 20 min tube journey away, because I couldn't drum up any enthusiasm for it.

Loving the world cup though.

I despise the crusty FA. Where as I respect my club's chairman and board. All is not well with the England set.

No reason why it should be one or the other. The problem with the national team is that it's run by idiots and managed by a failure. Hard to care when those in power don't seem to.

It would be bloody marvelous if England won the World Cup. Although they would need to remain competitive or we would never hear the end of it.
