Hi folks,

I bought a road bike from Decathlon a couple of years ago for £300. My summer holidays are almost here and I'm looking to do a combination of road and off road riding so looking for a touring bike that will give me more flexibility.

Edit: I'm 6 foot 3 so looking for something a bit bigger.

Cheers

Martin

If its a mountain bike style frame you have. try raising the seat a bit and change the tyres over to a more road biased tyre ( less knobly ) and you should be good to go.

Excuse my ignorance, I didn't know you could change the tyres on a road bike for thicker ones. Wouldn't you need to change the actual wheels as well?

You can't, I think he has misinterpreted your original post.
