My poor car broke down today took 4 hours to get recovered and its all down to the tracker module failing! Mind you it has improved its MPG by taking a ride - 21 MPG for the truck, mine 14 MPG:-)

Did you have Cobra before? I have just had the new Cobra system fitted at WS, the old EuroWatch system tampered with my radio and severely affect reception (got it changed FOC under Premium used car warranty). (Also got a great DAB radio receiver fitted). There is quite a difference in Cobra customer service to the old Eurowatch System. Eurowatch customer service is much more pleasant and friendly. The immobiliser was my iPhone which was very cool... The cobra staff are a lot more "mate" which I can't stand. The great up side on the Cobra System is that I now have a great motion sensor which I discovered the other day when Cobra called to inform me, my Car had it's motion sensor activated - I said the the man, "that's truly amazing "Mate"" laugh all good for the new Cobra System!!
The only downer, is the Tamaguchi pocket thing I have to carry everywhere (my immobiliser device apparently), I think I am going to give it a name...

This whole tracker thing is a waste of time. I theory you should get a call when you enter the Channel Tunnel and the train starts rolling. I only do occasionally. The same on ferries etc. When the car is garaged they can't (obviously) receive a signal so when i call them to test the system i have to leave the car out for on hour and then eventually they lock onto it. If it is that easy to circumvent the tracker you just need to put it on a closed truck and off you go. It then plays up with the vehicle electrics (as in the case above), you have to carry around that fob and it eats up the battery.

Stewart, I have heard that driving the car too slowly causes the tracker to fail yesbiggrin

Glad it is sorted now, but I must admit that Christian is right, they are about as useful as a chocolate fire guard, or in your case chocolate pipes & fittings smile

Agree with the above points. However,at least it keeps the insurance premiums down. If we all had a choice on the best tracker system to have - is there one available that ticks all the boxes! Also interested to hear the best DAB system to install .................

I had no end of tracker issues to start with - went off 3 out of 4 journeys and the best guess to why is my old Samsung S4 was interfering with it (this is Cobra). I was on first name terms with the call centre. You can't use your phone with the Cobra system as its not bluetooth from what I understand, either NFC or RFID or something like that.

Interested in the DAB thing too.. I've one plugged into the line in under the arm rest but a more elegant solution would be good (or retrofit of the official system).

I can highly recommend AutoAudio in London if you want any audio work on a Vanquish - they are superb and a great to see inside their workshop, they work in seriously heavy metal.
