Our first Le Mans last year, can still remember the silence that enveloped the crowd when his death was announced

Yes, quite. Its all to easy to forget what these guys put on the line.

And lets also be thankful that we hadn't had another similar situation before quali had even started this year with #1.

Still fondly remembered by many, given the reaction of folk around me to Hindy's pre-race bit on RLM and to the GTE-AM podium at this years race.

I put a little tribute in track chapel ...


On Radio Le Mans there was a very emotional tribute during the commentary " we are now on lap three and we all remember what happened at this moment last year..." and they went blank for a minute... during the opening laps of this great motor race.. Utterly respect!

Yes, when the commentator cracked at the end of the roll call, it was impossible not to join him.
