Hi guys

New to road riding, purchased a Trek Madone 4.9 a month or so ago. Have been out a few times but tried pushing myself this weekend and popped in a 52 miler. Struggled a bit towards the end both with legs but more surprisingly achy arms. Maybe I just need a bit of time to get more used to the position but did wonder if I perhaps need to get fitted again? Was fitted on the bike when I first bought it at the LBS. Did anyone else suffer with the arms first few long rides?

Might just end to relax a bit more on the bike.

Did a bit but nothing too much. I guess I just need to get used to the position a bit more and try to relax into it. Plan to do 30 miles Tuesday eve so I will see how I go.

Wearing gloves? Half decent ones? That'll make a big difference. Also, try and relax a bit on the bike, and keep swapping between hoods and drops so you don't get stuck in one position.
