A wheelie good time

Hi Guys.
I know this subject has been talked about previously but..
This afternoon, I'm dropping off my yellow painted lattice wheels to the company to get them powdercoated...

Now.. I have been thinking quite alot about what colour to go for - it was good at the BBWF to see other wheels / colour combos etc..
Anyway, I am thinking black as the colour.. the only thing i'm wondering is whether I keep the outer rim polished or do the whole wheel black.. - it has to look right on the car..

I think from the powdercoaters point of view ( and the price) it will be easier and cheaper to do the whole thing black rather than take the time masking off the outer rim etc...
Would it look ok without the silver rim???
Onions please...
Thanks
Dom
ps... I did paint my Celica wheels black over the May Bank Hols last year ( the whole alloy black) and it looked superb... will post a pic later on.

Hi Mate...I think...(My personal opinion) that the powder coated lattice with diamond cut rims look much better...By the the way they don't mask them off they actually coat the whole wheel and then cut it back..
I loved the gold with the Red on Delilah...But equally the black would look cool...

Poppy's wheels...

Ziga, where did you get your shiny wheel nuts from...
Hi Mate...Mine were already on the car but you can get them off Amazon or flea...http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&...

Zig - hope you dont mind but I have printed a pic of poppys wheel to show the company later on.. give them an idea.
Bloody liberty...
.....They were coated with "Dark Anthracite" and then diamond cut and polished...Do not ask them to lacquer over the polish as it will look shyte and will need doing again in a year..Once polished they can be kept free-ish from oxidisation with alloy wheel wax from Holwfrauds or even a light wipe over with some WD40....Cheers...ZigaFor the "classic" look the lattice should be matched to the car. This was fairly common back in the day - I remember seeing a yellow 350i with yellow lattices in Cambridge in the early '90's. My first 350i had white centres and my second had nimbus grey centres - both matching the car. So it's red for you!
Thanks for the responses guys..
So much to think about and it's only for the wheels !!
I did drop the alloys off yesterday afternoon but the "boss" wasn't there so couldn't discuss my requirements. He will be phoning me later on when hes back..
I must admit, I am thinking of going all black - I feel this is more in keeping with mine as there isnt any silver / chrome elsewhere on the car.
The main deciding factor will be cost.. It is not decided until the phone conversation with chap.
Pic below is my Celica which I painted the alloys last year along with the rear spoiler - Defo a more racey stance than normal

Just a shame you cant see the "My other car is a TVR" sticker in the window behind door.
Thanks.
Dom
PS..
haha... just noticed also that no-one spotted my original post mistake where I've asked for Onions... not opinions...
What am i like.. food is always on my mind.

Hi Guys.
Right.... just got off the phone to the powdercoating company.
After a chat with the chap, I have decided to go all black. I know this is against most or all of your thoughts.. but there was a £50 difference in price per wheel with going all black and having the outer rim polished.. I wasn't looking at spending mega bucks and that extra £50 pw just tipped the scales for me at the moment... ( thats £200 that I could spend on tyres etc.. )
Also, he told me that the polished section of rim can be done at a later date.
So... watch this space.. I'll post pics up when I collect them.
