It is the first time in many years that we are able to make Croft for the touring cars. We have a motorhome and would like to know if you can just stay over in the circuit car park/fields? If not where can we pitch up?

Don't really need to post on this because I don't know and usually stay at the nearest B&B, but I just wanted to say....I can't wait for Croft!!!

There are no public camping facilities at the track. One of the local Farmers usually opens a field up.

I do not need camping facilities as I am self contained as it is a motorhome. Just wanted to know if they allow this in the car parking areas.

Its been many many years since I've been but I dont see why not - they are just fields.

The only issues they can lock the gates/block in the fields prior to the events.

Worth ringing the circuit.

(I know this as back in 2002 my fiat had an electric issue and we had to leave the car over night - the circuit staff came over and asked us before they locked the gates).

Turks ftw.

I'll be there as a circuit doctor on the Sunday. First time doing something like this (Motorsport cover that is, not doctoring!) and first time at a live Motorsport event. Looking forward to it.

Trying to figure out how I'm gonna manage to watch the races when I'll be on holiday in Mallorca on Sunday.

Anyone know a dummy proof proxy I could use via wifi that would get itv.com to ignore my being in the med?

Should be an interesting weekend. Wonder if the longer first gear for the bmw and audi will make a difference considering its a strong circuit for bmw they should go well regardless.

Matt neal needs to have a good round another bad round and I think he will be out of contention.

Cant wait.

I am a regular at Croft (if not as big a fan of BTCC as many)and do hope that the support races won't have grids quite as pathetically thin as they did last year. How many Porsches and Formula Fords can I expect- double figures ?

Last time I was there (2012) all camping / motorhomes that weren't associated with teams had a fenced off area just over the fence line from the Paddock carpark. It was basically on the edge of the main public carpark.

I'm there again this year, really looking forward to it. Hopefully the weathers going to hold out.

Would have loved the MINIs to be supporting again at Croft, was a great race in 2012.

Oulton Park had 12-13 cars in most of the Support Events with 19 in the Ginetta Juniors.

12-13....? Pathetic . And this for a televised event too. I do wish Mr Gow would get something decent like historic FF1600, saloons or FF2000 to support BTCC.Or the DDMC sports and saloon series.Or would it detract too much from the main event?

It's my first time going to watch btcc at Croft on Sunday, what time should I aim to get there for and where is the best place to stand to watch the races?

Early as possible! Never been to Croft so don't know any secret standing places, but if you get there earlier enough I'm sure you'll find something.

Try the banking between Sunny and the Complex- good view of the fast bends; lots of overtaking into Sunny in and sideways at Sunny out
