Silly question about fa{s}cia

No, not about spelling of facia or fascia.

I had my fa(s)cia reupholstered and the ends were covered. I remember there should be holes for the door switches and for the mounting brackets, but need to see a pic to get and idea of which is which. For some reason there seem to have been two switches on driver's side and one on the passenger side.

The car is a 1987ish US spec 280i. I am sure I read that not all cars had the brackets. And, why two switches on driver's side?

A pic would be very helpful.

Two switches? I expect the apprentice missed with the first one so they stuck another one in as a luxury version.

All three switches are identical, as are the three black buttons on the doors.
