Help from the anoraks - What car did I see on the M6 tonight

Hi there,

OK, spotted this tonight heading south on the M6 around J18, followed it for about 10 miles and could not get my head round what car it was.

The car had a bonnet and boot badge but no model description. The badge is one I recognise as a seldom used alternative Kia badge (never actually been used in the UK though) and the car I recognised in terms of shape as a Kia Optima.



The car had a slightly revised front end which I assume is the 2014 facelift (with the DRL's a bit like a Kia C'eed GT) but the thing that has stumped me completely is the quad exhausts.



Reg checking the car comes back with a Kia Optima 3 CRDi Auto 1695cc, surely quad exhausts are not standard on a 1.7 Diesel.

Any thoughts ?

Could be the long awaited V8 version?

Looking at the size of the rear wheels that would definately appear to be a firebreathing 1.7 CRDI 4 door auto.
