350Z Roadster Auto

I am thinking of getting an early 350Z Roadster as a summer only fun car.
The wife would really like an auto SLK or something almost as boring so I may compromise on the auto to get a more exciting car into the garage!
I have seen a 53 plate auto for sale not too far away.

I sure I read somewhere though that Nissan did not sell early 350Zs in auto in the UK.

Is this correct?

If so I presume this is a grey market car.

Easiest way to tell an import 350z is the square rear number plate recess if still stock.

Mine is a manual, only autos I saw when looking were imports.

I had a 54 reg 350z auto roadster for a yr, a few yrs ago.

Did all it was asked to do, never let me down, but I just didn't like it, and I still can't say why, my brother has a 08 boxster and I often compare the two, both feel heavy to drive, neither do anything for me.

I brought the wife a 13 reg SLK diesel, auto with paddles only 2 weeks ago and you can't get me out of the thing, so much a better car, well, I think so.
