Cannot remember the last time I saw one. Made me smile as I remembered hanging around the Austin Rover dealership while my Mum's 216 was in for a service. Quite nostalgic.


Still a st car though!

Any one else see the ofd rarity, stuff that will never be classic but probably rarer than a Ferrari 512 now?

Anyway, I couple of weeks ago I saw a mint, T reg, Austin Maxi, brown paint with beige velour interior typical of the era.

Saw a Daihatsu Applause today. Could not figure out all what it was first. Must be the most beige car ever made. Alleged to be very dependable though, even by Japanese standard. The two or three that end up in caring owners hands will probably outlive us all .

Yes - funnily enough I was behind a Montego Countryman only last week. Seemed to be fairly devoid of rust too, and looking quite clean and tidy.

Funny you should say that, but the last Allegro VDP was registered a year earlier, 1987 on a D reg!

Saw a Hyundai Stella yesterday, I initially got quite excited thinking it was a Maserati BiTurbo passing me with its very similar back end. Nonetheless the old Stella is like hen's teeth now.
