Once again i turn to the fountain of experience and offer my cup to fill with wisdom......

Anyway

Metering.
Basically, what is it and how do i use it on my 300D?
The manual has half a page telling me there are 3 types in operation on my camera:

evaluative
partial
center weighted
Beyond that it basically tells me the camera chooses evaluative most of the time. Can i improve my pictures by knowing about metering?
