Spotted what looked like a Golf R32 in the supermarket car park the other day. Mentioned it to the fiancee as they seem like nice cars.
Did the shop and went back outside just as the owner was getting into said car. Thought it would be nice to hear it fired up so walked slowly past it with the trolley.
He struck up the engine and it didn't sound at all right. I then noticed that it was a diesel. What the hell?
On the outside, it really did look like the R32. It had the proper bodykit, central exhuasts etc. But when fired up, you could tell it was a derv.
Anyway, just thought I'd share this stupid story from Sunday.
