I've had a good multicar quote from Admiral that saves us on the other cars we have to boot but they wont use Aston Dealers to repair - or they might if you pay the difference.

Have had a comedy quote from Adrian Flux and my current insurer LV dont do Astons or my usual broker.

Does anyone know who else best to try that would cover it for proper repairs if needed and will mirror my current no claims (like Admiral)?

Any help avoiding stabbing in the dark would be great!

Admiral can't do this. Many on here use them.

I think I got the Admiral tip here... I just came off the phone with them. Its what they said they do (now?) which is why he lost the sale... Guy really seemed to know his stuff.

It may have been your Admiral posting that I saw Michael (I've read hundreds in my Aston research recently)!

I chatted about this with Admiral for 5 mins and it was more about the labour charge 'share' than parts cost obviously. I bet they can get £45 hour labor charge in a quick turnover garage... He was categoric.

I was with LV for many years but they wouldn't touch the V8V. Aviva was cheapest for me.

Locktons ahead currently. Very impressed. Thanks so much for the tip.

Need to be really careful about NCD being per 'vehicle' rather than per very same driver that didn't claim! Vehicles dont claim, drivers do! Some insurers understand this thankfully!

Cheers

My Aston is with AVIVA. Cost me about £750. Had a claim recently handled with no issues - car transported to Aston Works without a quibble. Will renew with them.

Just a point about multicar and fleet insurance... I decided to keep all my vehicles (9) on separate policies and found that the cost is only slightly higher than a fleet policy. The big difference is that they each have a max.60% no claim discount so a claim on one or more does not jeopardise the NCD on the others. With a pile of young plumbers behind the wheels it's paid off in the past.!

I'm with Adrian Flux have two cars with them and they mirror my NCB. I always get anew quote with them every year as they do beat others for me, at least :-)

The secret with insuring your high value P&J is "value" in the event of a claim. Does this insurer undertake agreed value... If insured as "market value" with these expensive tools using a discount highstreet multi-car insurance company, you'll have to probably accept you will lose out if you have a claim. As example, Locktons and others like Adrian flux will offer you an agreed value when you take your policy out. You have to ask for this!

Plus some extra bennies included: Track day insurance (inc Spa), free European travel insurance tongue out

For me this is peace of mind.

Don't scrimp on this one...

Aviva for me too. I got written confirmation that I could have repairs done at MY choice of repairer.
