Right or Wrong time to sell my 993?
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I have put my 993 cab up for sale on Ebay, as i hardly ever use it,
i put it on at a high reserve just to see what it would fetch, and it's almost there already!
now i'm pooping myself that i should really just keep it, as these cars are a good investment,
I don't need the money, but I am short on storage space,
Am I stupid to sell her?
i've had it 4 years and done about 4,000 miles in it,
last year only about 400 miles

I think either way you win. Sell now you will get more than you paid. Keep hold you will get even more = win/win. It's all down to your choice.
Agree ebay will not realise you the best price especially if a good example. As your not in a rush SOR with a recognised dealer is less hassle, solves your storage issue and you realise a better price even after their commission.

Update,
I removed the car from sale today,,,,,it had more than a day to go and reached £18,100,
i had an offer of £19,000 to remove it from ebay etc,,, but i reckon it would have reached £20,000 in the end,
as I didn't need the money, I decided to keep her, but would trade up to a more desirable 993 in the future, (coupe, Manual, or possibly a Turbo)
there may be a bubble as there is more confidence about money now than there was 4 years ago,,
Many thanks guys,
here's another picture for you before i go,,

Yes indeed I too agree with these replies, cab tips are currently selling for around £20k, there are a couple from dealers on pistonheads that have been on the web for ages and both sound fine. I would suggest if they did not sell for 22/23k from dealers on pistonheads then £20k on eBay would not have been too bad.
And absolutely agree the gap is only getting larger, as these cars get older the people interested are the one that like to drive cars and although cab look simply wonderful they are not coupe. Look at 3.2's good coupe now over £30k, Charles Ivey has two cabs which you could probably get for £20k.
If you want an investment get an ISA, have a porsche if you like nice cars ......
