Cars that have hit the bottom on deprecation

Ok, been looking to buy my next weekend car for a good few months now, looking to keep this one for the long term though and ideally want to buy into a future classic, this is easier said than done, have a budget of 90k and my current thinking is the 599 or the DBS.

So what are the thoughts, are these two future classics and have they hit the bottom on deprecation or a ways to go yet. If not, what others should I be looking at.

I'd get either a 993 Turbo Manual or an E46 CSL plus a 1M coupe

For your £90K I reckon you could have a different car every week for 2 years, and if lucky (assuming you purchase carefully) could turn the £90K into £90.1K

No manual, can't be arsed flaffing around with gears. Fine on a classic, useless on modern performance car

Not so sure, the are holding up well at the moment. You will struggle to find a decent early 2006/7 599 for under 85k. Early DBS around the same. Been at this price point for over a year now

Yip, expect that, its PH though, it for car advice. If I was asking about a 20k budget no one would bat an eye lid. What I'm interested in though is the majority of advice that is normally sensible and informative.

997 turbo will drop much lower than it is at present, just look at 996s & 993s for proof. 993 is now going up again.

I wouldn't expect the Diablo to go much lower, and you might have enough left over to buy a Caterham for extra fun!

Depends how long 'long term' is. IMO given enough time both will dip and then return to more than £90k. They are both future classics. Sounds silly, but test drive both and see which you prefer. That way you can never say you have bought the wrong one if one appreciates more than the other.

997 gt3 rs. 100% future glassic. Just not sure if its really hit the bottom yet.

This will probably be my last big car purchase so looking at 10-15 years of ownership, by that time I will to old and craggy to keep it so will look to pass on

Porsche seems the safe bet financially, they just don't really give me that smile factor when driving one. Have driven both the 599 and DBS, both are epic, 599 far quicker though. Not a fan of lambo, bit old for that look now I think

599 quite the thing, but I'd save a bit and go 550.
