Gopro helmet mounts

Just bought a Hero3+ Silver with the intention of getting to MTB video, chest mounts and bar mounts are obvious but I'm looking for a good helmet mount, not necessarily OEM, any help?

Did you not get any self-adhesive curved mounts in the box?

I bought a cheap helmet mount off eBay, it was a strap with a mount on it. It was st! It wouldn't stay tight, when it was tight as I could get it the camera still wobbled. My mate bought the proper one from GoPro and its perfect. I gave up messing about and bought a laser oasiz lid. GO mount built in

Go with the self adhesive mounts on your helmet, depending on your helmet you could also add a few cable ties to hold it in place.

I've got a bell super lid with a dedicated mount on it, like this:



Its a great system, but you don't get much of the bars in shot with it in that high up and with the peak in the way, so it doesn't really look all that fast or exciting. I've just stuck a curved adhesive mount on the side and run the camera on an 90deg connector so its upside down at about eye level. Looks pretty cool I reckon, but you'll need a fairly secure helmet or it'll rotate around on your head...

thanks gents, didn't want to use the adhesive mount as I only have one lid and wont always want the camera on, was thinking of something that'd strap through the vents but I guess i can just cable tie the mount on without using the adhesive pad.
