Multiple mileages logged on car check....doubts

Hi all!

In the middle of a deal for a 1 year old Audi A6 S-Line.

Although buying from an approved dealer, thought I would run a vehicle check and found that there were 6 mileages logged on national register within a year!

9,063 miles recorded on 14 Mar 2014
9,062 miles recorded on 17 Feb 2014
7,688 miles recorded on 9 Jan 2014
2,727 miles recorded on 4 Sep 2013
2,397 miles recorded on 30 Aug 2013
1,864 miles recorded on 21 Aug 2013

What would this mean? Car has been in for repair that many times or do dealers have an obligation to keep logging mileages on a regular basis. I asked the sales rep when went to see car but obviously they do not know anything about the history :/

Opinions/thoughts would be much appreciated!

It does raise a question, how many owners has the car had? Is it special enough it could have been used as the demo car within a dealership group, it would explain the low mileage and regular checking into the system.

If you are that worried, don't buy it.

You don't want to hand over the cash or sign something and then get cold feet.

Is the car so special that this is the only one you can buy?

0 previous owners. The one mile difference from Feb 14 to Mar 14 makes you wonder whether it's a logging system. You'd think buying from an approved dealer means peace of mind in terms of faults with the car...

As I said above, if they haven't given you piece of mind, don't bloomin buy it.

If you do a HPI check, doesn't it come up with a dealer check or an insurance co check?. This may point towards the history on the car. So many in such a short time would concern me and I'd look elsewhere. Can you find out the full service history including any warranty work, an Audi dealer can access this. It may be too new for a service, but may have had a load of warranty work resulting in the number of mileage checks. There are plenty of S line A6's on the market ,so be happy to walk away and find another you'll be more comfortable with.
