I just thought I'd flag this up to try and attract a few more chims.

If you think a track day may be too much "in at the deep end" but fancy driving your car flat out in much safer conditions then the road then this could be for you.

A very informal atmosphere, cheap as chips, (£60.00) and a chance to get to know your car.

Here's a link to the latest lap times.

I've put some of the "knowns" names against there cars.

As you can see, the TVRs do very well.

Details of the course can be found on the web.

I think this should be posted more in the Griff section, they seem to be lacking for saying they are the track focussed car and chims are the golfers choice lol

The chim is definitely the car of choice for the track, they outnumber the rest by far yes

I'll certainly be aiming to make a return visit now mine is ready to go again, thoroughly enjoyed it last November and will be hoping for a better performance next time. Would I be right in thinking the new layout is producing quicker times in comparison to last years circuit ?

Come and join us Richard. Just moor the old canoe in Dogger, Fisher, Fortes or German Bight and come and have a go. It's a lovely atmosphere, one car at a time on track, so no chance of you getting in my way whistle, and it's kind of addictive, as the fastest is not necessarily the most aggressive. Or the most powerful. As our friend in the 520 bhp supercharged Z4 German Bight found out last time.

I will lend you some proper tyres if you can make it, but better book quickly as it gets booked up fast.

Wish I could A... next leave will be short, and should involve moving into new double garage and workshop (with cottage attached).... Youngest sprog is getting married in August too, with all that's going on it's unlikely I'll be doing much tivving until September frown Beastie's dead at the moment too, sad and lonely sitting outside the house with dead battery... she'll get a new one with accumate when she moves into the new garage with me smile Hoping to get some track time in September/October before the body off starts... Also starting the long awaited resto on my MG this winter smile

Have to catch with you guys soon though, I still owe Peter some delivery dosh for the baffled sump, which is still in its box in the downstairs bog smile

Wot no Chimpers today???

I had an 'interesting' time- 4 spins & generally getting far too carried away (until the OSF wheel bearing failed)……

Interesting to see the Group C thing being put through its paces before Classic LeMans.

Still, a bit of fun in warm up to the TVRCC Speed Championships which is there on the 6th July.

Maybe some of the vociferous above would like to back up their track prowess against the clock?

It's a well run series based on power to weight (&tyres) that gives a pretty level playing field.

Errr, Phazed, Rib and I were there last week. Rib was 1.25.5, Phazed 1.26.5 and me 1.28.0.
How did you get on pre-wheel bearing failure?

I wonder if you have to use a tyre type! Standard 15/16s hahah I'd enter if that was the case? Nah my cars to precious.
Some numbers, a licence maybe and you've got the rest I think Peter!

My times were nowhere near you guys- 1.28.2, I struggled with remembering where to go on the fig 8. Think I'll do better on the more straightforward layout.
