Hi, how are you all out there in Chimaera world.
Firstly let me tell you about me & mine.
I have been the proud owner of a 4.0 Chimaera reg L4000cc(note I'm not calling her a Chim ahem!)since early June 04. She is a lovely red colour (forgot the actual name, but Ferrarri redish).
I will post some photo's sooner or later as I am about to join the Coverdale carpet Brigade (as well as other internal changes)
I have decided to change the carpets from Magnolia with Biscuit piping to Red with Biscuit piping. The seats etc. are Magnolia / Biscuit.
I already have the carpets, but I'm going to waite until early new year. I have also had overmats made for the two wells, finished with aluminium heel plates. I have also bought two sew on TVR patches from Ebay and will sew them on the side of the mats to finish them off. I just hope they dont look too "Chav" when I've finished.
I have ordered two rear view mirrors finished in chrome from the States which have day/night facility (no wiring involved???) ordered two as they are quite cheap, and I hope to sell the other one on with a small profit or at least recoup postage.
Also ordering a pair of Red seat belts from a british company (have the swatches 2 different materials - very good)who by all accounts will fit the new belts into the existing housing, or I can order completely new (which I think I will do) should cost approx £60.00 each, not bad considering I was quoted £250.00 from my local car accessories shop.
My second thought is, and I'm surprised nobody has suggested this before ...... do you think it is possible to fit a boot luggage rack onto the car as you may find on MG's etc. I think they have rubber suckers on each leg, and then I presume straps which you would tighten as with for example a bike rack, which I hasten to add I would not never no way use on my Chimaera unless heavily padded in some way, and I don't want to drill holes into the bodywork. As long as the luggage isn't too heavy and you are sensible, I can't see it being too much of a problem - what do you think?

I've just ordered mine £148-34 in Red, and they are fitting the new webbing into the existing housing. they say it will take about 3 hours, so I will take them out myself and drive down in the other car to save on fuel etc as they are in Stanmore Middx, and I am in Northamptonshire.
If you're interested they are called Quickfit Safety Belt services tel:02082040200 and very helpful.
Hopefully this may help the passenger side from sticking. You know the one.....where you have to get on a level piece of road so as to free the mechanism etc etc.
But I think it will set off the interior quite well as the shade of Red they have sent me is practically the same as the bodywork. Once again I will get some photo's up as soon as it's done.
