Should I PX my car?

Hi

I'm selling my 02 95k ML55 AMG, had it up for sale at some strong money for a while now, but it is a spotless example. I've had a bit of interest, but no one has come to see it.

Last night I was offered a PX for an E320 CDI, 56 plate on 111K. Should I do it, just because mine's not shifting? Is the E Class going to be a ticking time bomb at that sort of mileage?

I'd get a quote from Webuyanycar, they can give a decent price on some cars.

I'd ask the dealer how much he would take cash only, and then ask how much cash + your car. This will give you an accurate p/x valutation.

Then I'd try and sell my car privately at £500 above the dealers p/x value. You should find it sells quickly as it'll be cheap, you're up a few hundred and you have your new E-Class.

If it doesn't sell, just trade it

Surely it is not beyond the whit of man for you to check values of the two aforementioned vehicles and make an assessment yourself?

If it was me I would. I would expect the running costs put people off buying the AMG. The CDI should be easier to sell being cheaper to run etc.

That's the one. I got it cheap, he wanted a quick sale. I've sorted a few bits out - he knows I'm selling it on as it's not really the car I'm after. Trying to find some more info out on the E Class.
