Another new Chimaera owner

Hi guys, after 6 months of saving and lurking on the forum, I finally picked up my first Chimaera on Tuesday. (A BIG thank you to you all for posting such invaluable info that helped a new owner in a big way, (hopefully) make the right choice of all the cars I viewed LOL)
It's a 2000 450 with a fair bit of work completed over its life and full TVR specialist service history, so hopefully I've managed to get a good 'un.
I'll find out more next week when the folks at Elmwood will put another stamp in the book, and hopefully not find anything nasty.
I wasn't sure of the colour at first, as it's very love or hate with the chameleon colour, so I bought with a possible re-spray in mind (carbon fibre wrap bonnet is an interesting addition), but I have to say, it's grown on me over the last few days. Will see how it goes.
The car runs like a dream, and I fully understand the theatre aspect of every drive. Simply stunning.
Looking forward to getting some miles under my belt this summer and hopefully catch up at some meets.

Thanks, will do.The bonnet is interesting to say the least, and is a carbon look wrap over the paintwork. Not sure if it will take the paint with it when removing it?
Have been quoted £1k just to just the bonnet the same colour (original paint job was £7k
) But I can repaint the whole car a more traditional colour for £3k. The original colour was Halcyon Blue, so that may be an option further down the line.billzeebub said:

I'm delighted with the way the 450 behaves, and strangely revs like a much smaller engine than a 4.5 V8. I'm already addicted, although the fully stock exhaust and cats on mine do seem a tad too quite for such a great sounding beast

You guys anywhere near Headley court where l am working at the moment?. Being away from the tiv for 5 days is killing me

Welcome to the 450 club, definitely the right model to choose, IMHO. I do like the look of the light conversion, just can't convince myself to go that far !
I will be doing the two, or possibly three, light version of the speed six conversion this winter - have a look see what you think in the flesh, Richard. TBH, if like on my car you need a front end respray, and your OE lights are in need of replacement, it in a financial no-brainer, especially if you actually like seeing where you are going after dark. I'm a few miles from Headley, near Dorking, (giant cock roundabout!), my wife used to work there, (not at the roundabout ).We need to have a Surrey get together!
