Hello All,

Well after looking at second hand options (there were barely any!), I decided to go ahead and order my new Stowa 1938 Chronograph. I went for the cream dial and grey strap combination. I've had a Marine Original before, but I've always gazed longingly at the 1938.

It won't be with me until the end of August and already the wait is excruciating... It's like being a kid again at Christmas!

Tell me about it - I'm awaiting a call from Mr.Hackett that might be a few weeks away yet!

Very period dial; both rail-tracks and choice of font. Good to see they've matched the date wheel's background colour too. Alas the modern 41mm size would drown my scrawny wrist.

A brand new Speedmaster Pro - might not have got the order in soon enough to avoid the upcoming Omega price hike though - apparently the Speedy is being repackaged in a new wooden box with alternative straps etc. - can't wait! smile

Fantastic, enjoy! I've always been a huge fan of the Speedmaster Pro.

These 1938 Chronos are lovely. I sometimes think about selling my MO roman and getting one of the 1938 chronos but I know I'd miss my MO if I was to sell it frown

Great looking watch but its too large for my wrist as well. How much are they as a matter of interest?

Approx £1500 new. They hold their value pretty well and rarely come up second hand.
