original fuel hose - 8mm or 5/16th (7.6mm)

Hello all,

ive just completed a body off on my chim, i also replaced all the copper and rubber fuel lines. I used 8mm rubber and the correct fuel line clips. nearly every join is leaking slightly? very odd, pump outlet, fuel filter, fuel rail etc.

Now doing a bit of digging, is the original 8mm or an imperial size of 5/16th which would equate to 7.6mm?

just wondering if the latter and that is why im getting very slight leakage?

I think the original was 5/16ths as you say. I have re done mine with 8mm though and all is fine. can you not nip them up that bit more.

If you have air conditioning then fuel ex-changer link pipes are 7mm.
