Iphone 5 control C63

Hi All

My Car arrived last night…31 hours after ordering it! :-)

awesome so far.

There is a cable which connects inside the armrest to an pre iPhone 5 and I have a the small adapter which hoes on the end to make it fit and charge an iPhone 5. However, is there a different cable you need to control and iPhone 5 through the command unit?

My bluetooth all works and I can shuffle back and forth through songs but Can you control an iPod / iPhone with the later connectors through the Comand system?

seconcdly, can you transfer songs from I tunes onto the HDD in the car? if so again, any tips appreciated. I will also consult the manual but often its better to understand a PH explanation.

Ref cable, you their is a specific one for the iPhone 5. Costs about £60 from Mercedes and can also be ordered from Command, just google them. I have it and it works perfectly.

To put songs onto the HDD, just download onto a SD card and pop the card into the SD slot in the front of the stereo and it will ask if you want to download. Takes a couple of minutes but really good.

You can get an adapter from the Apple store, That's what I did for my C63 and its £25
