So who has had a Microlaryngoscopy?

I'm getting one sometime in the next 2 or 3 weeks including a couple of wee biopsies to be taken from my larynx.

I've read guides from a few health boards round the country and some state that I would have to "not talk" for a week, some say 2 weeks, some say the consultant will fill me in on what he reckons when I wake up.

I've decided to ignore google and just take it as it comes.

However, anyone had this procedure and if so did you have time without speaking afterwards?
