Wheel HP comparatives

Hi folks

I've had my mx5 down at a specialist to finish my supercharger self-install and remap it recently.

I am collecting the car next week, but had a text from the guy today (out of hours so didn't want to call) saying he had mapped and tuned it today and on the final dyno run it was 175hp at the wheels

So, what does this translate to in comparison to the standard factory hp of 140?

Ive always wanted to do similar to my Alfa, but it not very common in the Alfa community.

However its a 4-banger, twin cam engine with 155bhp, so pretty similar to your Mazda!

Well, I bought it second hand on the mx5 nutz forum, from an owner of an identically specced car as mine. Running for 10k in the doner car and seen working, and supplied with the entire kit, brackets, guages etc.

It is:-

Eaton m45 charger (from a Mini Cooper s)
Crank overlay pulley
Supercharger reduction pulley
Charge cooler system with additional rad
Twin throttle
Megasquirt ecu

That's about the basics of it. There's a million more bits but other than that there's not a lot too it

Not sure if there's a tried and tested route with the Alfa but this one has been done many times on the mx5 so lots if help online.

I fitted most if it myself but stopped short of the ecu and the twin throttles.
