reccomended tyre pressure seems high?

Going on a long motorway journey with a full car today so I increased my tyre pressures as per the manufacturers reccomendation.

Its an 06 octavia vrs petrol. The fronts are 33psi and the rears, 43psi which seems rather high. Ive got 18 inch wheels with Eagle F1s.

Does this seem high to anybody else or is it just me?

Driving it alone, its very bumpy and feels a bit light under load, but then there will be at least another 300kg in the back for the journey.
