Walking in the Lakes today when I noticed an old MGB heading my way , by the sound of it a V8 ?

An old one but quite tidy , but fitted with....









A pair of Led driving lights stuck in the grille.

And to add insult to injury they were switched on.

Shameful.

There is a newer version of the MGB, the MG RV8.

They were probably DRLs rather than driving lights so you would expect them to be on during the day.

Saw one for the first time a few weeks ago. Was impressed by the noise and had no idea they existed.

Actually I have a set fitted to my defender and they are excellent.

They are stuck to the rollcage above the drivers door pointing sideways.

Because they are about 6 mm thick they are very low profile and they give an excellent flood of light to the side which is useful when off-road in the dark

Which is why I said newER, and even put the 'er' in bold. Maybe I'll go for 28 point font next time.

Frontline will actually build you a new MGB with a heritage shell and modern suspension and running gear, so you can get a "new" MGB if your wallet is feeling healthy enough.
