The car bucket list. Has anyone done it?

Im selling my car next month to help fund a new business and the original plan was to buy a cheap run around for a while until I could get myself in to something fun/decent again. Anyway after to speaking to a couple of my customers (i buy and sell alloy wheels) It turns out quite a few people buy cars, tart them up a bit then sell on in their spare time.

So it got me thinking rather than get something I hate driving put maybe 3k to one side for a car fund and start ticking off some of those cars ive always fancied owning. Start off with something like a puma or mx5, tidy it up stick some nice wheels on it sell on, make a bit of money and buy something else.

All the money make would go back in the car fund so I could buy nicer more expensive stuff and let the cars pay for themselves.

Would be interested to hear if anyone has done this or is still doing this.

Ive already got my eye on an MX5 on ebay im watching.

That's life for most of us I think.

The only reason I'm considering selling my much sought after 328i Sport is because I need to tick E46 M3 off the list.

It's also the same reason every time I see a Rover 200BRM for sale I have to sit on my hands not to buy it. It's on the list, it's going to happen, and it's going to be terrible.
