Hi all,

A friend came to stay for the weekend in his Tamora, as he left his place he found that all the drivers side door electrics are dead (mirror, window and mirror door button).

He can open the door from the inside but the window doesn't drop.

I remembered that there are door modules so swapped them right to left but the problem stayed where it is.

Without spending hours looking my best guess would the earth connection running into the door from the A post has failed. I can hear relays clicking in the module as it's plugged in so would assume the power and earth to that to be fine.

1) So, has anyone seen this issue before?

2) Do all ancillaries in the door share a common earth?

3) Looks like the door has to come off to get to the connector as the top half in the car appears to be bonded/glued/fixed into the A post, is this right?

4) Is there a wiring diagram available for the Tamora? (Would like to run a temporary earth to check)

Thanks!

There is a multi pin connector in the A post which you can get to by removing the door. Release the Allen key on the bottom door hinge and remove the nut on the top hinge and the door can be lifted off. The multi pin connection may need cleaned or it could be the wires fraying where they enter the door as they bend quite badly at this point.
