Tom Hartley Jr is advertising a 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider for just under £200k.

Advert says that the cost new was £261k......

Wouldn't like to have taken that much of a hit in less than 12 months.

Pointless post I know however the depreciation made me wince when I read the advert.

Probably why Ferrari have said they will make less cars in future and charge more. There are loads of 458s and once the super wealthy have finished playing with them there is no one to pick up the slack.

Still great for people like me hoping to own such a thing one day!

Remember watching a programme that said 'new' models tend to be bought by those with assets of around £5m and an annual income of £500k plus. I'm sure a top spec range rover bought new would lose say 20-25 in its first year and those are often bought by rank and file employees all about context.

It'll probably have 50k's-worth of carbon options on it - which probably mean diddley squat to the value come part-ex time.

Sadly not a huge shock.

Possibly was for the owner though....

Always used to amaze me when I worked in motor insurance that you quote someone who's just bought such a Range Rover a 900 quid premium and they'd go mental...

12Cs are also taking a bit of a hit for deprecation. 2013 cars on this site range from 142-175. They were £200K new? once you had some decent stuff bolted to them?

How much would gap insurance be on one of these as that's a huge to cover?

GAP usually has a max payout clause. I imagine there is a "Please call for amounts in excess of this"
But of course this being PH they would have paid for the 458 in used 500 Euro notes.
