Newbie : Fernhurst Chimaeras?

Have you asked Fernies about history?

I brought my Chim from them, and have been dealing with Fernies now for two years.

I have found them to be an honest and professional outfit, plus a nice bunch of guy's as well.

I ask them about the history on mine and they told me what they knew! all good i'm pleased to say and that was over two years ago.

I've dealt with Fernhurst, on & off, for ten years. Decent lot I would have said. Ask them about the histories, chances are they'll have quite a bit.

bought mine from Fernhurst last week.

I'd like to second that you should just ask them.

They were happy to confirm that mine had just one caring ladyowner

More important I think is that the cars are thoroughly checked and serviced before being put on sale. And regarding the condition of their TVRs, Fernust was next to none (and I've seen many).
Not to mention the excellent service and aftersales.

Fernie's wouldn't sell it if it wasn't spot on - proud bunch of buggers they are.

Fernies it is then! I'll be down there this weekend with my deposit....
Question is 4.0,4.5 or 5? I Wonder if I can drive all three on the day? They all look well sorted but the 4.0 is the newest and with best colour scheme... If I went for the 4.5 I'd probably want to change the carpets - is this very expensive? Not sure I'd want to do it myself....

Buy the one you feel best with don't worry too much about engine size. They are all bloody quick.
Shnozz had his 4.0 up against DustyC in his 5.0 Griff on a drag strip and there was not a lot in it. Although it may have been his chest wig and medallion weighing him down.

Dusty usually has his gob open so it causes extra drag....

Thats my cars brother supplied new by Hawthorns ring them and see what they know. They are in Farnham so it seems to have stayed localish.

Will back up the good comments on Fernhurst, picked up an elderly chim from them and have to say the service and professionalism was great...all in all a nice bunch of people to give your hard earned to!

Only downside to Fernhurst is when they service your car, you get a Corsa as a courtesy car

Got my 4L Chim from them 18 monts ago and never looked back.

Oh, and when driving south on the A286 into Fernhurst, theres a 40 zone down a steep hill with a speed camera at the bottom. B@stards.

Well I did it, put a deposit down on '99 4 litre starmist blue Chim yesterday! Should be collecting it this weekend.... can't wait!

Drew and Co were great, test drove two, the first with the hood down - bloody freezing - had to stop twice to pick my ears up! Couldn't get them to shift on price but did negotiate a full chassis prep and leven interior kit in addition to full service and 12 months MOT so quite happy.

Here's to the start of something beautiful..

last week i bought my 4.0 chim from fernies been grining ever since. only one small problem bloody thing didn't want to start the day after. phoned fernies had a natter realised it was the starter solenoid they said bring it in when it suits me and they would fit new. i did, they did, perfect. now enjoying the spoils of the TVR

Did you go for T334 RPG????
I was the 2nd owner (for 3 years) so could fill you in on the history if you haven't bought it already.
If you have bought it did they give you a roof bag (as I still have the one from the car sitting at home waiting to be posted to them).

If you did or didn't buy it owning the car has a been superb experience - I was very sorry to see it go!!!
