I think people really want it to be true, but know in their hearts....

Ultimately if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't!

The answer is always yes, and the fact people ask the question means they know it's pretty suspect too.

The fact that people are asking the question also means they are smarter than those who fall straight for it. Some must, otherwise these abject scams would not continue to appear.

I read an interesting article recently that suggested that these scams are designed to be easy to spot. Reason being that they don't want to draw in 100 people who are going to figure it out half way through once they've wasted a load of time. They want to draw in just the one fool who will go all the way to completion.

Don't ever think that the people designing these scams are in any way stupid. The levels of organisation, effort and technology that go in to them would surprise most of you here. They are very good at what they do.
