I've just acquired a Carrera GT and my broker, who is usually very good, is struggling to get a sensible insurance quote. My high performance fleet is currently insured with Hiscox, but they don't seem to want the business as their quote to insure the car is ridiculous. Can other CGT owners post up who they are with so I can make some enquiries?

Try the Porsche forums, a fair few CGT owners in there.

Try Chubb for fleet insurance. Many CGT owners I know use Chubb and are happy with the premiums and service.

How much is the best quote so far?

When I was looking to buy a CGT last December I got a reasonable quote from Nowell & Richards (they did sort the insurance on my early 911 hotrod). If interested can give you my contact there as I have found him very helpful so far.

Definitely this - Chubb Masterpiece through Quantum - also gives you fully comp on any car now owned by you.

Have you tried Aviva??? I've got a multi car policy with them and my 12C is cheaper than my Porsche to insure.... you just need to get past the sales people who answer the phone and ask to speak to one of their underwriters

I've used Chubb for a couple of years now, I thought premiums were on the high side but I have no doubt they would pay up in the case of a claim. I changed to Aviva this year because they were more competitive.

If you PM me I can give you the details of my insurance broker at keithmichaels.co.uk who owns a CGT and knows the market well.

Try Ben Stagg at RKH. Google for phone number etc. Has a good rep and seems to have decent contacts into the Lloyds market.
