Finally scratched the itch and bought an M3, I'd been spending far too much on my Focus RS over the years.... On selling it it was perfect 340bhp built to last but everything has to come to an end!

This was the first day of picking up the M3

Had the exhaust box dropped off for the OEM exhaust mod it now sounds like a v8....

Changed the rear tyres and rear brakes in the last couple of weeks also added the carbon competition spoiler and splitters yesterday along with a black grille....

It's just getting how I want it only to add the private plate now! A lot different to the focus speed wise delivery is totally different as you can guess... But I think to 100-120 the focus would probably be in front!
Going in for a service next month and an Mot then it's done for a while
Cheers Paul

Very nice cars but they are symbolic of modern motoring in that they are a little anaesthetic and having been in one I was not very impressed by the performance TBH. Having said that the competition at this level is probably the same although the C63 sounds wonderful stock by comparison. Enjoy anyhow as I am sure it will be a far nicer all rounder than a tuned RS although I very much doubt you will not mod it a little.... Exhaust, inlet, delimit etc etc

Very nice choice sir....
May I ask how much is cost to get the exhaust mod done please? Something I am considering myself.
PS BMC filter sounds nice too
A friend did it for me at his garage as a favour all 4 pipes are wrapped!May I ask how much is cost to get the exhaust mod done please? Something I am considering myself.

Yeah I've seen the ECP deals on the filter just waiting for them to come back into stock!
They are a grower, but quicker than they sometimes feel. I have a friend who was never impressed with them, I took him a quick spin with everything turned up to 10 and he came away with a totally different opinion. Another thing is they are very reliable, many in America being over 200k now.

- cough* throttle valve actuators *cough*
Finally decided to bite the bullet and get some new wheels.... these were a bargain I wouldn't usually go copies but they're from a good company and look identical to the real 359's that cost 3 times the amount..
Fronts are 9j and the rears are 10j cannot wait to get these fitted this weekend!!

Also fitted some Federal RSRs to the Civic ready for Spa

looking forward to trying these out, side walls seem nice and firm and would like to compare to a R888 for about 80quid a tyre.

Mackay they are completely different cars, but both are drivers cars! The RS is raw and ready but also still a 10 year old focus... I was a little hesitant to let it go but I do not regret it.
The focus was a missile once rolling at that power and I should think there wouldnt be a lot between the cars 40-120. But I was fed up with fixing things which is expected I suppose from a 2.0 running 340+ HP. I think it got to the point that I wanted a car I could nip out in and not worry it would breakdown!
Now the M3 you can drive this in 6th at 25mph. the interior is not over complex and to point, has all the toys and my days what a chassis and engine.
Revving to 8,400 keeping it on the boil it gives you as many smiles as the focus on full boost in 3rd/4th.
Mines a manual, couldn't quite afford a DCT at the time but I must admit id love a go in one.
The BM is the complete car but I guess that's what you'd expect from a car that cost 60k new. I think if you look at the cost of an 08 E92 M3 and an 09 Mk2 FRS its a no brainer ones a Kids toy the other is refined!
