I love this car, it just does what it says on the tin, and more.

Everywhere I go I get photographed, pointed at, followed by people videoing me.

Everyone loves it, all love the fact that it is British.

Best car I have ever had, fro a whole host of reasons.

Love it.

What a great post.

Often people buy a dream car and are left disappointed, like buying a ferrari after owning a Porsche Turbo smile

Enjoy your car, they cost enough so all the power to you.

Have you had all the updates done ? 2013 software upgrade, 2014 IRIS hardware & software upgrade and the latest P13 upgrade ?
Just wondered if it made any significant difference from original cars

It was mentioned in a previous thread, something to do with the air brake deployment from memory

P13 is seemingly much more than air brake. Engine and transmission plus IRIS are involved too. Not sure about suspension.

How much does it cost ? IRIS II was £2,495 and by the sound of it this is much more

I have spoken to McLaren Manchester, seems it's just an upgrade for the wing, nothing else, I have just upgraded my Iris, so if it was a paid for upgrade I will not be too pleased.

In summary, no cost, I hope.

Free upgrade. I think McLaren are just officially quoting 'wing' but a number of owners on McLife are reporting that there are definite other changes to their cars - transmission shifting differently plus some engine power delivery alterations. Could be just american market but I wouldn't think so.

Edit; I'm not suggesting any hardware, only software.

IRIS II is hardware and software as far as I'm aware and I was quoted £2,495 to have it done by a Mac dealer. Maybe it comes free with a service at the factory or as part of the deal when buying the car

Pretty sure the IRIS 2 update is £2500 with better audio/ Nav improvements.. Luckily the 12C I got had the new IRIS already installed.

Had the new updates done on my 12C which I picked up yesterday. Amazing car!! Tbh not sure what the updates have improved as it's my first 12C...

The downshifting is changed, responding a lot quicker! A lot are saying the torque curve has been modified, I'm not sure on this.
The car does feel superb, nothing new there then ;-)
