Hmmm, seems ok on iPad1 too. Just my phone renders it as Big Blue desktop view scratchchin I've changed it to classic and back and switched on & off desktop view and it's not sorted. frown

I tried it again today, just to see if it's been improved at all. It hasn't. It's a perfect example of lack of attention to detail.

Examples are always useful.

Would love to upload a screen grab, but the image upload just says "iframe loading"

The main issue is on desktop - it's just inconsistent in spacing, type, sizes. If you're aiming to copy Big Blue, copy it. If not, make it look different.

The original idea a year ago was to copy big blue and then make it responsive into a mobile optimized format for smaller screens. We couldn't copy big blue because it mostly works in tables and not div elements. Because of that, we decided to try to rewrite Big Blue into div elements but we couldn't get it to look quite right. Then there was the controversial decision to make the text bigger, and that threw out a lot of the formatting. And that's where it's stayed.

Going forward the plan is to likely just show Big Blue if you're on a desktop device and then show the Mobile skin if you're on a phone or tablet. That way you'd never see any difference on a desktop.

I use Big Blue on iPad, tried mobile beta & wasn't keen. Nothing really wrong with it, just that it didn't look "right"

You do get used to it. I now find Big Blue "doesn't look quite right".

I think the biggest thing is the font size difference.

Also, why is there no visual stimulus when you tap a link?

Here's the "attention to detail" image I couldn't post from my phone.

Here's the on-hover state on desktop of the "My Stuff" link (ditto all others)

You don't need st hot developers, you need a digital designer (i.e. not an ex-print Haymarket bod) and a UX person.

The footnotes for edited posts etc. have no identifying style.

I'll stop now, but you did say examples would be useful smile
