I have Meddle but the live version sounds better. How better I can't explain, it just feels that way to me.

The video I posted a link to I can watch on YouTube whenever I like unless it is taken down. I just wondered if there was an audio of the live version I could download/buy.

Not aware of a legit CD version, although you can buy the DVD from Amazon for £4.99 Link and you could then rip the audio from it. Thats the directors cut that is longer, due to some interviews being inserted, but the original version is on there as an extra.

If you were to drop a message to somebody whistle via their profile they may be able to provide a .mp3 version of the concert.

Google 'mp3 converter' or, if your computer isn't very new, download Audacity (freeware) and record it as you play the YouTube video. That's what I am told people do.

Not that it will help but I bought my copy in 2008 from play.com for £4.99 smile and it was also on sky arts 1 back in April so it's saved in my sky box as well smile

I quite often take it to work and watch it there, with the lights off and my feet on the desk biggrin

Buy the DVD and enjoy the whole thing smile

The unofficial CD, "Volcanic Destruction" contains all of the Pompeii tracks (except "Mademoiselle Nobs") but is sourced from the original print (or poss the laser disc)

But the best way to get the music is as mentioned above, the DVD, and then rip the audio with yr PC.

If you buy the Pompeii DVD you also get to enjoy the interview with David Gilmour who is clearly very stoned.

Also Echoes was used as the sound track in the film Crystal Voyager - a surfboard's-eye view of some big waves and stuff. Its still available on DVD I think.

I bought the Pompeii DVD as we went there last year on holiday, so I was interested to see how they did the concert, plus I like Pink Floyd. However I don't think I even got half way through it due to the boring and rambling nature of the disc...at least it was cheap.

yes

I think their best song ever and this rendition the best performance ever. Probably David Gilmour's finest gig.
