New grill fitted. Opinions?

I think if it's body colour (the car's not yours) it will look fine, but will it let enough air through? The standard mesh is very fine.

You should be able to get the % vol of air thro the mesh from the manufacturer so you can compare
They will give you % restriction

Guess painted black could look good?
Don't know how much air goes through the grille apertures and how much goes up from underneath?

A lot of the later TVR cars had far smaller "grilles", the T350 only seems to have two "holes" either side of where most cars have a air inlet?





I used expanded stainless on my S and woven stainless wire on the Taimar.

I would agree about the possible concerns on airflow.

But the look of it is quite good, it looks mean.

You do know that will slow you down and restrict air flow. would have thought some stainless 10mm diamond grill would look better, sorry just don't think it looks right.

i think i would prefer more flow through the grill - mine overcools but thats dead easy to deal with :-)

As cooling can be marginal on the S I would also be worried more by practical than aesthetic issues. Reducing airflow through the grill will also tend to increase pressure in front of the grill, not sure how marginal the S is on this but it is well known that reducing the air flow through the grill on the E type induces front end lift!

I also have to say I do not find it as attractive as the simple mesh on the original. The original mesh isnt an obvious feature and doesnt detract from the styling. I think the more obvious 'hard' flat mesh may detract from the curvy styling that we like so much.
