DBS v Virage - Dilemma
Discussion
Last year I sold my 2005 DB9 due to a change in work circumstances and am now thinking of getting another Aston Martin. I have a budget of around £85k which can get me in to a DBS or a ltd edition Virage.
The Virage seems to be a more modern car than the DBS but has more power. The Virage on the other hand was ltd to around 1500 cars so may end up holding their value as something more exclusive but not sure as it looks just like a DB9.
So what's a better all round car and why? £85k could get me in to both cars but the Virage will be much newer than a DBS.

My Dad was in the same situation when considering a Volante, coming from an early DB9V.
I steered him towards a Virage after considering for what he uses the car - mainly gently driving around bumpy Norfolk roads. Basically, he wouldn't need the extra power of the DBS and the newer shape was also appealing to him.
IMO, the DBS is a much better drive when really pressing on, though. Comparing fused exhaust valves, it also sounds better at slower speeds, too.

Out of interest, did your Dad end up with a white Virage Volante?I steered him towards a Virage after considering for what he uses the car - mainly gently driving around bumpy Norfolk roads.

There are equal plus points on both sides,,,however, if I could find a DBS with the exterior colour and spec that I like, that would propably tip the balance for me. Have fun.
