How do you insure a car whilst being trailered?

Hi,

I have just found out whilst renewing my build insurance that Adrian Flux will not cover me for tailoring the car to Southern GT for it’s IVA test preperation, hopefully towards the end of the year.

Has anyone else come across this problem and if so did they find a solution.

My car is still in build and I insured it with MSM and it covers this specific risk.

Hi,

Thanks for that tried them but had a few problems and they wern't sure they could do it or if their underwriter would accept it or impose an increased premium, because the car is being built in a timber not brick building. May try and see if they would do it as a one off when the time comes.

I had trouble with this and didn't bother in the end, which seems to be quite common. Far from ideal though.
