I received a letter from the above dealership today stating that as of June 30th they have ceased trading as an Aston Martin dealership and will cease as a service centre from July 31st.

The other two Lancaster Aston dealers will continue.

They seem to have recognised that the premesis weren't the best but probably wasn't financially viable to do something about it.

It's a shame they've gone as the sales team were a friendly bunch and it was local for me to see the latest cars.

Yep, the level of investment to bring that site up to scratch was not tenable. The plans for a local dealer in the area are another story.

My car (new V8V S) will be the last new car to be delivered from that site (they will be there until the end of July).

Good bunch down there as you say but does mean I do not have to worry about dealer loyalty with my servicing :-)

Agree. A shame to to see them go. I bought two of My vantages from them. Always good service from sales.

Agree, real shame it's closing down especially for the team who I guess will have to find something else to do! Used to enjoy my cups of coffee and chats, along with odd day out with the team. End of an era for Reading surely it's worth investing in!

That's a real shame, they've always been a nice bunch when I've gone in and very helpful. Hope they all get new roles asap.

Bought my old nail from them years ago at a great price. Then they arbitrarily added 5k to the price on the invoice and it was only when I threatened to show them a photo of the window sticker price that they changed it (I didn't have a photo).

I never went back.

Will the other Lancaster franchises still operate?
Jaguar, Land Rover?

All at Lancaster Reading??
I can't find any feedback on them, apart from as above, stating the facilities weren't the best.

Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo all remain as is. Was only Aston Martin. I have dealt with Lancaster Jaguar Reading. Not much to say about them good or bad so average I guess!

Thank you.
On that basis, I will book my Range Rover into a local specialist then instead of Lancaster.
I've been on various forums, and no one has anything to say about them.
Good or bad, similar to your feedback.
