That heavily upgraded Parr 996 GT3 RS

I know it lingered around the classifieds for a good while before being sold at auction. It's not in the classifieds now, but I seem to remember a specialist had it up for sale.

Anyone know where it is now?

Me too. As above, it's owned by Ade (keepitlit) - I believe that he virtually stole it from the previous owner for around £50k. Absolute bargain for a straight car. It could probably be put back to standard or near standard spec - but why would you want to? A very astute purchase in my opinion.

Just got GT Porsche and there is a great article in there about these cars... What most of you guys have probably known for ages that they were undervalued and unappreciated and are now going the same way as the 964 and 993 RS.

Through utter respect for the car builder and former owner Tim I plan on leaving the it as is for the foreseeable future. I've had a few discussions with Tim lately and fully understood his very focused plan for the car; 1240kg 430hp road legal Cup car for Competion. The detail is exquisite and a compliment to Parr, the carbon work is beautiful! Also the car is so clean underneath and nothing is out of order, missing or wrong.. I do have pretty much all the stuff to turn I back to stock, bar wheels and o/e mirrors atm.

The car is a beast to drive!
